Saturday I pitched tent for the first time at the Aurora’s Farmers Market.  I was very happy with my set up.  My vintage displays please me and the market goers.  My best seller was the child’s sock monkey hat.  It is darn cute.  It’s even cuter on a favorite kid.  In response I have knitted five more.  I did not have any birdhouse items out last Saturday, but I will be more diversified this Saturday.  The little birdhouses are painted.  I just have to open the gorilla glue and give them their book roofs.  I also have to come up with some textile to block the morning sun until it shifts.  I should be able to find something around the house.

The most enjoyable conversation, and I had many good ones, at the farmers’ market was with a young Polish woman.  She kept telling the world to “Slow down.  Slow down.”  We talked about needing to push the reset button when it comes to keeping up the the Joneses.

I sent my Mr. to the hardware store to buy some rubber O rings.  I am attaching cotton straps to the O rings  so people can carry their water bottles hands-free.  I want to make one for myself, and I hope that people want to buy them.
